Pulse permeameter

Low-permeability rock permeability is measured using a non-steady-state pulse decay method. The principle is that the pulse pressure signal in the upstream standard chamber acts on the upstream of the rock sample, and the fluid passes through the rock sample into the downstream standard chamber under the drive of this pulse pressure. The permeability is determined by measuring and recording the change of pressure difference between the upstream and downstream ends of the rock sample over time. In order to make the test results closer to the formation conditions, the instrument simulates the high temperature and high pressure conditions of the formation, making the measured permeability closer to the actual field conditions and making the permeability measurement more accurate.
