During oilfield construction, the water absorption and expansion of rock minerals have an adverse impact on oilfield exploration and development. To better understand the compatibility between the working fluid and the reservoir, an expansion rate test is conducted to obtain accurate shale expansion rate parameters, providing a basis for working fluid configuration during oilfield construction and achieving the goal of protecting oil and gas layers.

Technical Parameters

Experimental Data

Operating Temperature Room temperature ~ 150℃ (selectable constant temperature oven heating or electric heater heating)
Operating Pressure 0~20MPa; 0~40MPa
Test Range 0~50mm
Linearity <0.3%
Resolution 0.01mm
Number of Experimental Samples 3

Instrument Features
It uses a high-temperature, high-pressure linear displacement sensor, and the measured data has good repeatability and parallelism;
The sample can be directly pressed in the sample cup, avoiding human error and systematic error;
An independent testing system can complete experiments on three samples or compare different samples, improving experimental efficiency;

The instrument simulates the expansibility of shale under in-situ conditions, and the computer automatically collects and processes the experimental report. This instrument is a new type of instrument developed as part of the national "863" project.
